If there is any good thing that comes from goodbyes, it's the realization of how truly blessed you are.
This is how I felt this past Sunday as I gave my farewell talk.
Although my siblings weren't able to be there, and most of my friends are out serving missions themselves or away at school, I still felt blessed to have so many great mentors and supporters there for me. I know so many incredible people. Coaches, teachers, 2nd moms, neighbors, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends—I have no doubt that every single person there has had an impact in my life. Having lived in the same ward my whole life, 6th ward truly is like family to me.
I had the privilege of speaking with one of my greatest role models and young women's leader— Wendy Merrill. She made we look way too good, talked me up far more than I deserved, and had me crying before I even got to my talk.
I can't even express how blessed I am to have such amazing friends and family. They make goodbyes so hard.
Take note of how absolutely beautiful the weather was on Sunday. +15 degrees and no snow.....that doesn't ever happen in Canada.
